Dear Alumni Brothers,

As an organization with no university recognition and no formal housing, we have been plagued by recurring financial issues from the founding 25 years ago. Largely, these problems are a result of disorganization and mismanagement that comes from having no central authority and no supervision… mistakes are repeated and rules are re-made through every undergraduate cycle. We strongly believe that the Alpha Sigma Group can provide administrative continuity from year to year so that these problems can be avoided in the future. 

Last year, the National office and the undergraduates brought to the attention of the alumni a growing debt problem for the chapter. The undergraduates asked us for help. The decision was (and is) whether alumni should help the undergraduates who have inherited the current debt issues and, by doing so, provide future generations of the chapter a chance for the same experiences we had. The alternative is to let the chapter falter.

Over the past year, overwhelming response of the alumni was to help re-invigorate the chapter. In doing so, we have an opportunity also to create a new and lasting organization for the alumni, which can in turn safeguard the undergraduate legacy we’ve left. The alumni organization hopes to achieve just that. If you agree that this is a good cause, we will appreciate your support.
