Esteemed alumni of Chi Phi Alpha Sigma,

As you may be aware, we have formally founded and created the Alpha Sigma Group. With input from numerous alumni of all ages, this group has been formed with some key goals in mind which will not change: first and foremost, the organization will exist to serve the alumni. Our goal is to re-unite the alumni, perpetuate long-standing relationships and create new ones.

The group will also exist to support the undergraduates. We strongly believe that with the proper advisory group, the undergraduate experience will be greatly improved simply by creating a formal administrative continuity from year to year. We believe also that each undergraduate group should be free in that sense to identify and run itself the way it chooses. As such: the alumni and advisory group will have no input, association, or oversight of the daily activities of the undergraduate chapter.

Linking these two groups of brothers, undergraduates and alumni, will be another important purpose of the alumni organization. For those who would like to make themselves available, we can connect undergraduates trying to think through life after college with alumni who have direct experience with their potential paths, professional or otherwise.  As importantly, we hope to make the same connections among alumni brothers themselves.

Our goals will be to:

  • -- Contact and invite all alumni to re-unite with old friends and participate in this group.
  • -- Raise money to offset the current undergraduate debt.
  • -- Institute an oversight board to help solve the perennially recurring organizational problems that create debt.
  • -- Create two annual alumni events, to perpetuate the alumni group on its own terms.
  • -- Coordinate our 25th anniversary gala celebration.

As we move forward, if there is interest, we can consider other goals, such as a contact database available via secure login, newsletters, photo galleries, histories and more. In the meantime, please do read on, and consider a donation that will ensure the continued on-campus viability of our brotherhood.

Your current web browser must be updated to version 7 of Internet Explorer (IE7) to take advantage of all of template's capabilities.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
